理是理论；工是工程的意思

我是这样翻译的：
不甘人后,敢为人先：
I would rather stand in the forefront than fall behind (others).
注：这样的翻译作训诫也是可以的.
穷究于理,成就于工
He who investigates deep into theory will turn out successful in work.
此条如果是一条训诫,则可更改成：
Investigate deep into theory before you succeed in work.
你翻译的形式也可考虑,如第一句如按我的意思,可考虑改成：
Unreconciled to lag behind.Courageous to transcend others.
这样改也很好看,且有口号的性质.但在意思表达上总感觉不怎么好.
第二句你的翻译不大好改.Explore the theory deeply还可以,但后面用make it感觉欠妥.
